Sinopsis / Synopsis:

Esther, an 18 year-old from the North of Mexico, wakes up in Mexico City overwhelmed and alone. Wandering the city streets, she attempts to connect with strangers she meets. Arriving at the house of a mysterious woman, Esther finds a kindred spirit and a companion for the end of the world.

Biografía / Biography:

Nicolasa Ruiz studied a degree in Audiovisual Media at UABC. She received a grant from the PECDA stimulus in 2016-2017 to make her documentary short film JR, which had its premiere at FICUNAM 2019 and won the award for best short film at the Festival del Puerto 2019. His second documentary short Obachan was made with the support of IMCINE, Official Selection Visions du Réel 2020). Matthew "Matt" Porterfield is an American independent filmmaker. He has made four feature films to date, Hamilton, Putty Hill, I Used to Be Darker and Sollers Point. Putty Hill and I Used to Be Darker had their international premieres at the Berlin International Film Festival.
