Sinopsis / Synopsis:
Ten years after her last use, Katy delves into her memories through the photographic archive she built at that time, creating a self-exploration journey through which she reflects on her addictive relationship with pain, love and drugs. From the distance that only time provides, she revisits the endless parties, the immediate joy, the fall into the depths and her recovery, accompanied in the process by other women, who, like her, lived the “Ice-Love”.
Biografía / Biography:
Katy Araiza studied Sociology at UABC. She has extensive training in photography and her work has been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions. In 2019 she founded the DESOBDC Collective, which works on cultural projects with a social focus for women with addictions.
