Miguel Hilari studied cinema in La Paz, Bolivia; Santiago, Chile and Barcelona, Spain.
His films “El corral y el viento” (2014), “Compañía” (2019) and “Bocamina” (2019) portray generational gaps and migration movements from the countryside to the city in Bolivia. The films have had international screenings and awards. He has supported the production of several independent Bolivian and Peruvian films. He teaches documental cinema at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés.
