A genius film director, Tadashi Kobayashi holds an audition for his new film project. Several unique actors and actresses apply for the roles but most of them do not pass but participate as extras after all and go out of control. On set, the extras each begin to ask themselves, “What does it mean to be an extra?” “And what does it mean to be an actor?” During filming, the thoughts and feelings of the director, crew and extras began to emerge.
Sion Sono made his debut as a director in 1985 with “I am Sion Sono!!” . His 1986 film “A Man’s Flower Road” was selected at the PIA Film Festival.
