Sinopsis / Synopsis:
Hedvig lives with her elder sister and brother in the decaying family house, where her siblings are running a photography business. In the attic she keeps a wild duck as a pet. One morning the eldest sister Karin arrives to the house, eager to sell it. During the day, secrets concerning the family’s past and future unfold. Inspired by Henrik Ibsen’s 1884 play, The Wild Duck is a family drama about language, memory, photography and vision.
Biografía / Biography:
Artist and filmmaker Nadja Ericsson holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Malmö Art Academy. In her artistic practice, she works with video and film for cinema and installations. Vildanden (2023) is her first feature film.
