Sinopsis / Synopsis:

Using images of dancing figures in shots with extreme black and white contrasts, the dancers are reduced to their essence in order to be used almost as a terrifying construction of image, movement and repetition of sounds.

Biografía / Biography:

Born in Vienna, Austria in 1934, Kubelka is a filmmaker, musician and architect. The rejection by the establishment of his early work drives him to explore the radical limits of cinematic language.
Founder of the Austrian Filmmuseum, of the historical Anthology Film Archives in New York and designer of the Invisible Cinema, a performative concept that had spectators such as John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Andy Warhol or his close friend, Jonas Mekas, who said that his cinema was "like a fragment of glass".
