Sinopsis / Synopsis:
A woman was almost called a plane. Another had a library in the back seat of her car. Another fractures her finger on the unruly shelves in her bookstore. The cigarette makers listen to readings while they work. The ironers remember poems. To all of them, I sing. Against fire, water, moths, dust, ignorance and fanaticism, an anonymous army of women takes care of the books. It is an intimate resistance, without epic, without revolution, without weapons.
Biografía / Biography:
Maria Elorza (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1988) has a degree in audiovisual communication from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, with a master's degree in Art Creation and Research from the EHU/UPV. Since 2013 he has directed several short films. His works have been selected and awarded at festivals such as San Sebastián, Málaga, Seville, Punto de Vista, Documenta Madrid or Zinebi de Bilbao. I sing to books and women is his first feature film. WIP Awards for the best project at ZINEBI and MAFIZ.
