Born in Paris in 1994, Aliha Thalien earned a master's degree in Cinema after attending La Sorbonne university (Paris). She then went on graduating in Art at Beaux-Arts de Paris. With this background, she develops a practice bridging cinema, installation and sculpture around memory and language. Her work has been shown at various international film festivals and exhibitions. In 2019, she directed her first short film Feu Soleil, which was selected at Rencontres du Moyen Métrage of Brive and La Cabina in Valence. She directed Saint-Yves Prophète in 2020 and Mon amie Moïra in 2021.
