Synopsis:

Children at recess witness the conflict between anti-mutiny forces and workers on strike. The neighborhood of a mining town is transformed into a battlefield, for the last time. After the strike fails, calm returns to the streets and workers to the job, with the certainty that the closure of the wells can no longer be stopped.

Biografía / Biography

A director and editor born in Asturias and living in London. Her short films La Playa (2010) and Ay Pena (2011) have been shown in festivals such as New Directors/New Films of MoMA, The Film Society of Lincoln Center, BAFICI, Angers, Guadalajara, Gijón, Raindance, CinemaJove, New Filmmakers at the Anthology Film Archives. El Desastre (2014) is part of the Asturian film Liar, which was co-directed with Ramón Lluís Bande and premiered at Mar del Plata. Her work has received the support of ICAA, El Principado de Asturias, LaBoral Cinemateca and the Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón which awarded the first prize “Nuevos Realizadores del Principado de Asturias”. In 2018 the Festival de Gijón held a focus of her work. El Trabajo o A Quién Pertenece el Mundo is her first feature film.
